Updated 4 November 2026. A plain-language calendar for business owners, not legal or tax advice. Dates are taken from published compliance calendars and should be confirmed on the GST portal, the Income Tax portal, EPFO, ESIC and MCA before you file.

Short answer: the busiest dates in November 2026 are 7 November (TDS/TCS deposit for October), 11 November (monthly GSTR-1), 15 November (PF and ESI for October wages, quarterly TDS certificates), 20 November (monthly GSTR-3B), 21 November (extended ITR date for audit cases) and 30 November, which is the last date to claim input tax credit and correct GST returns for FY 2025-26.

Several of these dates fall on a Saturday or Sunday this month. Published calendars note that weekend due dates do not move automatically, so plan to file a working day early.

What the extensions do and do not cover

  • Audit-case ITR: both calendars report that CBDT Circular 07/2026 moved the date for audited businesses from 31 October to 21 November 2026. Transfer pricing cases still file by 30 November.
  • MGT-7 / MGT-7A: MCA General Circular 05/2026 is reported to waive additional fees if the return is filed by 31 January 2027. Setindiabiz notes the original due date still stands, so filing on time remains the safer route.
  • GST: neither calendar reports any extension of November GST due dates.

Who needs to watch which dates

Shops, traders and manufacturers with GST

Your core dates are GSTR-1 on the 11th and GSTR-3B on the 20th if you file monthly. If you are in the QRMP scheme (turnover up to ₹5 crore), you can upload B2B invoices through IFF by the 13th and pay tax through PMT-06 by the 25th for the first two months of a quarter. Setindiabiz also notes that the window to choose QRMP for January to March 2027 is open from 1 November 2026 until 31 January 2027.

Businesses with staff

If you are registered with EPFO and ESIC, October contributions are due on 15 November, which is a Sunday. If you deduct TDS on salaries, contractor payments, rent or professional fees, the deposit for October is due on 7 November, a Saturday. Quarterly TDS certificates for July to September (now Form 131 under the new Income-tax Act numbering, as listed in both calendars) are due on 15 November. For more on the new form numbers, see our post on TDS under the Income-tax Act 2025.

Companies and audited firms

Audited businesses have until 21 November for the AY 2026-27 income-tax return. Private companies should also note PAS-6 (for companies it applies to) and the annual return MGT-7 or MGT-7A, which falls on 29 November for a 30 September AGM.

E-commerce sellers and operators

Operators that collect TCS under GST file GSTR-8 by 10 November. Sellers should check that the TCS shown by each marketplace matches their own sales records before claiming it.

Why 30 November matters most this year

Under section 16(4) of the CGST Act, input tax credit for a financial year cannot be claimed after 30 November of the next year or after the annual return is filed, whichever comes first. The same date applies to declaring credit notes and correcting GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B for that year. We explain this in detail in our post on the ITC last date for FY 2025-26.

A simple monthly routine

  1. By the 5th: close the previous month's sales and purchase entries, and reconcile purchases with GSTR-2B.
  2. By the 7th: deposit TDS/TCS deducted in the previous month.
  3. By the 11th: file GSTR-1 so your buyers see their credit on time.
  4. By the 15th: pay PF and ESI on the previous month's wages.
  5. By the 20th: file GSTR-3B and pay tax. Keep enough cash in the electronic cash ledger before the due date, because interest is now worked out by the portal itself (see our note on GSTR-3B interest under Rule 88B).

Let your software carry the calendar

Most missed deadlines come from data that is scattered across spreadsheets, a billing tool and the accountant's inbox. A good GST billing system can show pending GSTR-2B mismatches, TDS deducted but not deposited, and payroll dues on one dashboard, with reminders a few days before each date. Nextinera builds custom ERP and billing software for Indian businesses with these reminders built in. Book a free call if you want a compliance dashboard for your team.
